Great resource for getting away from chemical cleaners!
Cynthia Lott gives excellent tips for green cleaning. There are some good recipes in Chapter 6 for making your own cleaning products. This book will give you a good start on going green at home with cleaning. My only problem was that this book was very short, but I would still recommend this book for everyone to read. Green Cleaning is well written and offers great ideas for cleaning green.
I was looking for a good book on green cleaning and was happily surprised when I read it, as it was exactly what in was looking for. The author did a great job describing the differences between conventional cleaning products and green cleaning products, and the instructions to make your own products are very clear and super easy. I would recommend this book with no hesitation.
This is for people who actually cares about their health and a clean environment. Everyone should care about that! I like the book and what really hits the spot is the section about DIY Green cleaning products. I had never even thought about that. I am definitely trying to turn my household more green and this book really gave me some insight on how to make the transition easier.
I especially enjoyed chapter 6 with all the recipes to make your own green products. I'm pregnant so I don't like inhaling nasty chemicals and these recipes are perfect for me. The author also makes them so easy to make and understand.
This book is easy to read I think the only problem is it's too short. It is packed with lots of information. Not only does it show you excellent ideas and gives good reasoning for the switch but also encourages you to make a switch.
In my home we try our best to live in an eco-friendly manner. It is important to my wife and I that we keep our carbon footprint low and that we keep toxins out of our home. When I saw this book, I knew that it would help us in our journey to be lean mean green cleaning machines.
